Dr. Susan DeMoss
Ever since she was a little girl, all Dr. Susan DeMoss ever wanted to be was a teacher. For every birthday and holiday present, she would receive school supplies. After over thirty years of serving as a high-school and university professor as well as an administrator, she still loves it. Currently, she serves as the Associate Headmaster at Christian Heritage Academy in Del City. Along with her administrative duties, she teaches five sections of dual-credit math course work (College Algebra, Trigonometry, Calculus 1, 2, and 3) through Oklahoma Wesleyan University.

"When my own children were growing up, I taught them the main concepts for their upcoming math classes each summer. We worked on speed drills as we traveled on every summer vacation. We dubbed our trips 'edu-vations.' This same approach is the basis of the Summer Math Institute. Students prepare for the next year through fun and engaging methods to strengthen their math skills. Noah and Hannah have done a fabulous job preparing your experience and have made it so much fun for kids."
Noah DeMoss
Noah is currently a student at Oklahoma Baptist University pursuing a degree in Biochemistry. He has been involved with the Summer Math Institute since its inception in 2017. He helps to teach the 3rd grade and Geometry students. His favorite part about the Summer Math Institute is getting to see the students laugh and enjoy learning about math.

"Through the Summer Math Institute, I am blessed to be able to watch young students grow in their ability to understand mathematics, but more importantly, I get to help show them how God's character shines through the concepts they are learning."

Hannah DeMoss
Hannah was a part of the graduating class of 2020 from Christian Heritage Academy. She also graduated in the spring of 2024 from Oklahoma Baptist University with a degree in math education. Hannah now works at Christian Heritage Academy as the Pre-Algebra and Algebra II teacher. She began teaching at the Summer Math Institute OKC in 2018. Hannah's favorite memories are watching the students work hard to understand difficult concepts while learning to love the subject of mathematics.

"Mathematics is respected not just because of its difficulty but because of the hard work that students put forth so they may master the concepts. I love watching the students that attend the Summer Math Institute because they pursue excellence during the summer, so they can be better prepared for the coming school year."
